Founded in 1982, the Chinese School of Chinese Community Church of Indianapolis (CSCCCI) has decades of experience in promoting Chinese language and culture through the Chinese language classes held during the weekend. In addition to the lessons from the curriculums, CSCCCI provides learning experiences through various academic contests (composition, story-telling contests), festivals (Chinese New Year, Moon Festival), and fun activities (Summer Camp, Chinese Word Quiz). Valuable life lessons are provided to students during the one-hour Bible classes through the year.
CSCCCI offers four types of classes in the spring of 2022:
Culture and Language I & II classes use a theme-based approach to learn Chinese and focus on conversational practice. The Culture and Language I class is for students ages 9 and under. The Culture and Language II class is for students ages 10-18.
Level K, 1-7 classes are traditional Chinese Language classes that focus on reading, writing, listening and speaking. The curriculum for each of the different level classes corresponds to the level number associated with the MeiZhou Chinese textbooks.
AP Chinese Preparation class – Speaking and Writing uses Harvest Intermediate Chinese and other resources to help students prepare for the AP Chinese Language and Culture Exam.
Adult Virtual Mandarin class is a new class offered online for adults who are interested in learning Mandarin. It meets online once a week for 100 minutes. The class time is to be determined.
First day of Spring Semester: January 9, 2022
