Hello Parents and Coworkers,
Each week I try to tell you what lessons the children learned the previous week and what they will learn in the upcoming week. Since recently began the new ministry year for Sunday School, I want to give you the big picture preview of the lessons for the upcoming 12 months. I hope it is helpful for parents in reinforcing the lessons at home.
- June: Judges and Ruth
- July-August: 1 Samuel
- September: 2 Samuel
- October-November: 1 Kings (and a little 2 Kings and 2 Chronicles)
- December: Jesus is predicted and born
- January-April: Life of Christ (from various Gospel accounts)
- May: Acts
Last Week (May 30)
Sunday Theme In
Eph. 1:15-2:10, Paul describes the relationship between Christians and Christ. Although the children may not totally understand these concepts now, it's important to help them start thinking about it at a young age.
This Week (June 6)
Sunday Theme We will return to the Old Testament with the story of Gideon (
Judges 6-7). Take a moment to check out God's purpose in 7:2 and how the Israelites actually responded in 8:22-24.
Children's Ministry Library The summer reading program will begin on June 20. See the first attached flyer for more details. You can also check out the new
CM Library Webpage.
Interim Congregational Meeting Please see the 2nd attachment for details about an interim congregational meeting.
Serving the Lord until we see Him face to face,
