Starting a new ministry year!

Hello Parents and Coworkers,

Last Sunday we ended the 2009-2010 Sunday School year, and this Sunday we will begin a new one. I pray that our children are continuing to grow spiritually as they grow physically. I am encouraged by the parents that I see who are intentional in developing their children's faith at home.

Last Week (May 23)

Sunday Theme The elementary children learned about living by God's Spirit (Romans 8), while the primary children learned about the fruit of the Spirit, specifically love (Gal. 5:22-23)

Promotion Ceremony Thank you for coming to the Promotion Ceremony. If you have any feedback on the ceremony or the Sunday School program in general, please let me know. You can also see the attachments to this e-mail or find them on my blog entry dated today.

This Week (May 30)

Sunday Theme We will wrap up our New Testament study with Paul's explanation of the relationship between Christians and Christ (Eph. 1:15-2:10). This may seem a little abstract for younger children, but as children see the real difference it makes in their family members' lives, it will be more real to them.

Classroom Switches
In order to better accommodate the children and the other groups that use the classrooms, we have switched the classrooms. Starting this Sunday:

• Dolphins will use Room 102
• Orcas will use Room 104/106
• 1st and 2nd Grades will use Room 110 (formerly the 5th/6th Grade room)
• 3rd Grade will use Room 111 (formerly the 4th Grade room)
• 4th Grade will use Room 116 (formerly the 1st Grade room)
• 5th and 6th Grades will use Room 114 (formerly the 2nd Grade room)

Children's Ministry Library The CM Library will be closed this Sundsay. However, the library will have a summer reading program from June 20-July 25. Check out the new CM Library Webpage for all the details (open the attachment at the bottom of that webpage).
