Lent
We are now in the fourth week of Lent, a time of preparation as we journey to the cross on Good Friday and the resurrection on Easter Sunday. To help you prepare, read this week's thought.
Sunday Worship
Special thanks to Rev. Yang as he preached on 1 Corinthians 11:23-26 last week. [sermon audio here]
This Sunday we have Sunday School at 9:30 am. Only two more weeks left in this quarter!
At 11 am we join together for our Sunday worship service where we'll be exploring where Jesus' earthly ministry became "solonomore" in Luke 5:1-6:16. [mini contest: what does "solonomore" mean?]
In addition, we'll be welcoming two new members!
[note: This Sunday (3/14) is the beginning of Daylight Savings Time -- so please remember to set your clocks ahead this week!]
Events

Prayer
Please pray that we would be able to raise significant funds to fight hunger as we conclude our 30 Hour Famine fundraising.
Please pray for the ministry of Rev. Yang and Rev. & Mrs. Dich overseas.
Please pray for the Spring Mission Revival conference that the Lord would use it to build up and encourage our church.
Please pray for those who will be baptized on 4/2. Pray that this would be a special time as they publicly respond to the Lord.
Please pray for those affected by the down economy -- particularly those in our own community.
Memory Verse
God's jealousy: Isaiah 48:9-11
“For my own name’s sake I delay my wrath; for the sake of my praise I hold it back from you, so as not to cut you off.
See, I have refined you, though not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction.
For my own sake, for my own sake, I do this. How can I let myself be defamed? I will not yield my glory to another.”
