Friday: During Friday Night Bible Study the Youth Group will learn that we are called to respond to God’s love by loving Him and loving others in His name. Our text will be Matthew 22:34-40. We start at 7:30 pm in the Youth Room.

Sunday: Last week we saw that worship is corporate. [(partial) sermon audio here]

This Sunday we have Sunday School at 9:30 am.

At 11 am we join together for our Sunday worship service where we'll conclude our series on worship and see that worship is global. Our text will be Revelation 7:9-12.

Prayer

Continue to pray for seeds of faith that were planted during the recent ski trip!

Please pray for the relief work in Haiti following the devastating earthquake.

Thank you for praying for the Pastors and Deacons Retreat this past weekend. We were “encouraged in heart and united in love” (Col 2:2).

Why are we returning to Illinois for the third year in a row? That is a good and fair question! One goal we have in our short-term missions is to allow as many high schoolers as possible to be exposed to a wide variety of service opportunities.

In 2008 we were in inner-city Chicago; last summer we were in suburban multiethnic church plants; in 2010 we will be in small town America. Further, going locally makes it less expensive and therefore accesible to more.

As a result, while we are returning to Illinois, we will be in a different environment than in years past while still offering an affordable trip!
